Position:	EKG Tech #2732 - 03/08/10
Department:	Cardio-Diagnostics
Hours:	PRN (Varies with shift assignment, week-ends and holidays required)
Summary:	Under the direct supervision of the Cardio Diagnostic Director, records and process’s EKG tracings for inpatient and outpatient as ordered. Perform multi-task duties assigned in the Outpatient and Inpatient Cardio Diagnostic Department. (ie, Holter monitoring, Event recorders and assisting physician with the technical part of stress testing.) Performs all patient procedures as delegated by the Director of Cardio. Maintains equipment and supplies. Basic arrhythmia course within the past year prior to starting.
Requirements:	Basic arrhythmia course within the past year prior to starting. CPR Certification. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have knowledge of basic computer skills. Ability to communicate in English, both orally and written. Ability to work independently within general guidelines. Quality consciousness; dependability; good interpersonal skills; ability to work responsibly; flexibility in meeting multiple tasks. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and do heavy lifting.
