Prestonsburg – Highlands Health System recently announced that a donation to the Highlands Foundation had been made by Wesley Christian School. The funds were raised in a basketball game by students and faculty wishing to help cancer patients at HRMC.
The cash gift “will help make a difference in the lives of cancer victims,” Rubado said. “And, it’s a reflection on the character of students, faculty, parents and friends from Wesley Christian to think of others in need.”
Located in Allen, Kentucky, Wesley Christian School serves children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Officials with the School presented the gift during a chapel service on Wednesday, November 4 and was accepted by President & CEO of Highlands Health System, Bud Warman and Highlands Foundation Director, Kathy Rubado.
