Dr. Pigg and Dr. Gibson
Prestonsburg -Highlands Regional Medical Center announced that two experienced physicians have joined the hospital’s staff. Dr. Sammie Gibson and Dr. James Pigg will begin their service as Women’s Health Specialists on March 16th. The office is located in Suite 2127 of the Highlands Medical Office Building.
Sammie S. Gibson, D.O., received her Bachelor of Science degree from Pikeville College and earned her degree from the Pikeville School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
James R. Pigg, M.D., attended Morehead State University and Xavier University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He graduated in 1976 from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He brings to HRMC more than 30 years of experience.
