Highlands Appreciates Nurses During National Nurses Week

Prestonsburg – If Florence Nightingale were still living, she would celebrate her birthday on May 12. Not coincidentally, National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6 and concludes on May 12. At Highlands Regional Medical Center, it’s a cause for celebration!

“We could not be any more proud of our nursing staff at Highlands,” stated Vice President of Patient Care Terry Booher. “We never lose sight of the fact that nurses are the 24-hour caregivers who are instrumental to health care excellence and recovery.” She pointed out that “if someone you loved has been critically ill, you know what a difference a nurse made in your time of medical need. And we have a dedicated family of nurses to whom we extend very sincere appreciation.”
