Prestonsburg –May is national Mental Health Month, and the theme of the 2010 Mental Health Month is “Live Your Life Well”, an annual recognition of mental health which originated in 1949.
“This year’s theme is an opportunity for Highlands Regional Medical Center to promote health and wellness in homes throughout the region. We offer necessary services to assist in mental health issues through our Behavioral Health Unit,” Director of Behavioral Health Steve Triplett said. “Good mental health is an everyday issue affecting Americans who find themselves in difficult or stressful situations.”
“There are evidence-based tools available to help test individuals,” Triplett explained. “These tools are readily available and have been proven effective. We are hopeful that anyone in our area who believes they may have issues to address will allow us to be of service. Highlands can help.”
