Highlands Providing Support For Free Health Care Clinic At RAM Expedition, June 19-20

Prestonsburg – Highlands Regional Medical Center announced the hospital’s participation in a free health care clinic being offered June 19 and 20 at the Pike County RAM Expedition. The clinic will provide free medical, dental and vision services for adults and children.

Services provided at the event will include cardiovascular, diabetes and cholesterol exams along with breast and cervical screenings and sessions on diabetes management, health education and more. Among dental services, cleanings, fillings and extractions will be provided while eye exams and free eyeglasses will be offered to vision patients. A limited number of eyeglasses are available.

“Highlands is committed to developing a healthier community” stated Melissa Vance, Highlands Director of Community Development. “This clinic is being arranged to provide health care services to those who are uninsured, underinsured, unemployed or those who cannot afford these services.” The facility and event will be tobacco-free and parking will be available near the school. Shuttle services will be provided from the parking areas.
