Dr. Kirti K. Jain, Hematology/Oncology Specialist at the Highlands Cancer Center, entertained guests during the Highlands Cancer Survivor Event.
The Highlands Cancer Center, along with Highlands Regional Medical Center, hosted their Annual Cancer Survivors Day Celebration at the Prestonsburg National Guard Armory on Saturday, June 26th, beginning at noon. Close to 300 cancer survivors and their families attended the event.
The Highlands Cancer Survivors Day was held as part of the National Cancer Survivors Day® campaign, which is intended to bring awareness to cancer and recognize all survivors. Highlands Cancer Center and Highlands Regional Medical Center held the local event to give back to the survivors and patients of the Big Sandy region.
Guests were treated to a fun day of information, prizes, food, and entertainment. As an added bonus, staff from the Highlands Cancer Center performed comical songs and skits.
