Billing Clerk / FT (2 Positions)
Responsible for the timely and accurate verification, submission and collection of patients’ accounts. Ensures accurate and complete information is submitted to third party payors and that accurate and complete payments and adjustments are made in a timely manner. Monitors accounts for delinquency and takes necessary corrective action.
High school diploma or GED required. Education in business or healthcare beyond high school desirable. Experience in a general medical setting desirable. Two (2) years experience in a healthcare billing/collection environment preferred. Ability to work independently within general guidelines.
