Secretary / Cardio - Diagnostics / FT
Performs a wide range of secretarial and billing services such as charge posting, transcribing echo reports, daily correspondence and ordering supplies for the department. Responsible for forwarding reports to HIM for scanning. Will greet all patients and participate in the registration process to ensure accuracy of paperwork completed. Notifies Cardio Tech of procedures to be done. Works closely with the work flow process in the department, and keeps daily spread sheets of such. Schedules outpatient testing and contacts patients for event recorders. Maintains service statistics and related information.
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have knowledge of basic computer skills. Certificate in Medical Secretarial or equivalent experience. Six months prior experience desirable. Ability to communicate in English, both orally and written. Ability to work independently within general guidelines. Quality consciousness; dependability; good interpersonal skills; ability to work responsibly; flexibility in meeting multiple tasks. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and do heavy lifting.
