POSITION
SUMMARY: |
Renders
professional, competent nursing care to
patients undergoing procedures in the cardiac
cath lab, ages 16 and older, in support
of medical care as directed by the cardiologist
and pursuant with the objectives and policies
of the hospital. Performs other duties as
assigned. |

|
REQUIREMENTS: |
Graduate of accredited nursing
program and currently licensed
in the state of Kentucky. Good
knowledge of invasive cardiovascular
professional standards of practice.
Maintain current BLS and ACLS
provider status. Specialty certification
(invasive cardiovascular) desired.
Proficiency in EKG and rhythm
strip interpretation. Cardiovascular
nursing experience desired.
BLS and ACLS training. Specialty
certification (invasive cardiovascular)
obtained prior to or within
three (3) years of employment.
Must be able to do heavy lifting,
stand and walk for long periods.
