LPN

PRN

(Varies with shift assignment, week-ends and holidays required)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse, the LPN renders care to patients of all ages and performs those nursing procedures which he/she is qualified. The LPN will also be responsible for equipment and supplies. Confidentiality will be maintained regarding verbal and visual patient contact, including but not limited to patient records, and conversations with and about the patient. Must have the ability to utilize nursing process effectively.

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate from accredited licensed practical/vocational school of nursing. Current licensure in Kentucky. BLS Certified, ACLS Certification (attainment within six (6) months of hire date and PALS Certification (attainment within one (1) year of hire date. IV Certified required. Emergency Department or equivalent experience preferred. Pertinent experience required. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and do heavy lifting.
