POSITION:

Operating Room Technician

DEPARTMENT:

Surgical Services

HOURS:

Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of a RN, performs a variety of duties in the Operating Room to assist the surgical team in providing quality care for the surgical patient. Pass instruments on the operative field, clean OR suite, and other duties as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Two (2) years of applicable college or vocational course or two (2) years of related experience required. Certification preferred not required. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and do heavy lifting. Able to perform some clerical duties. Must take call and live within twenty (20) minutes from hospital.
