Highlands Responds with Quickness

Harold, KY – Employees of Harold Primary Care (HPC), a clinic within Highlands Health System, sprang into action after a head on, two vehicle crash occurred near the clinic and Gearheart Communications on Rt. 23.

While awaiting the ambulance, Harold Primary Care nurses, Allison Gibson, Megan Henry, and Laken Meade, were on the scene triaging and treating the patients. Nurses covered the victims with blankets and started IVs immediately. In the mean time, HPC front office staff members were running supplies back and forth from the office to the scene of the accident, while nursing staff continued to administered care to the victims of the accident, some of which were children.

“The staff did all the work! I was very proud of how well they did in a very difficult situation,” said Jeremy Parsons, MD, Family Practice Physician at Harold Primary Care.
